Karul Projects Dance Theatre is looking for four (4) First Nations Performance Artists to become part of our inaugural company ensemble.

Salary:
18 weeks guarantee (with opportunity for more employment) within a 12 month period + Super and pro rata leave entitlements.
Your role:
As a Company Ensemble Artist you will be required to remount, rehearse, perform and lead workshops + other related activities. You will become a representative and ambassador of Karul.
Who we're looking for:
We are seeking four (4) First Nations Performance Artists with a strong dance practice to join Karul as Company Ensemble Artists on the Gold Coast. We are looking for artists who are excited to [art of a tea,, who are willing to grow Karul’s presence locally, nationally and internationally and create artistic work of the highest quality.
Location:
You will be engaged as a Gold Coast/Northern NSW based artist. Karul is currently based in Coolangatta, QLD.
Contract Period
1st July 2026 - 30th June 2027
Successful applicants will be notified in December 2025 to allow 6 months of preparation to relocate as a local artist.
