Karul is very excited to announce that this June on the 28th, 29th and 30th, we will be running our third Choreographic and Dance Intensive called Ngari Ngali-Wahlu (we dance).

Ngari Ngali-Wahlu will be led by an all First Nations Facilitation team.

  • Thomas E.S. Kelly - Minjungbal-Yugambeh, Wiradjuri and Ni-Vanuatu

  • Taree Sansbury - Kaurna, Narungga and Ngarrindjeri

The intensive will occur in two parts;

Part 1 - First Nations Intensive

The first day, the 28th June, will be exclusive to First Nations participants only, looking at choreographic processes and how we position ourselves in the industry as a First Nations people.

Part 2 - Everyone Intensive

The next two days, the 29th and 30th, are open for everyone and will focus on movement and technique exploration.

This intensive will be best suited to those studying dance, professional dance artists and those with a movement based practice.

We will be situated on Minjungbal Jogun, Coolangatta on the Gold Coast, QLD.

It is a first in best dressed application form and spaces are limited. The application form is now open and will close midnight of the 23rd June or until all spots are full.

Ngari Ngali-Wahlu is an intensive for participants of the age of 18.
